This is a hands-on (Sr) People Operations Specialist role where you can elevate and scale the People Operations function with focus on bringing structure, automation, and data-driven decision-making.
Job description
For a client of us I’m looking for a highly skilled and hands-on (Senior) People Operations Specialist who can elevate and scale their People Operations function. You’ll join a dynamic People Team of 6+ (HRBP, Generalist, Office, etc.) and help bring structure, automation, and data-driven decision-making to the heart of our organization.
This role is both tactical and operational, ensuring smooth execution of core HR processes, systems, and compliance while continuously improving how they work. You’ll play a key role in optimizing Personio, improving workflows in Slack and Trello, and enabling managers with actionable insights.
💼 What you’ll do
Operational Excellence & Employee Lifecycle
Own and execute HR processes across the employee lifecycle (onboarding, offboarding, contract changes, compliance, documentation).
Maintain accurate employee records and ensure timely updates in Personio.
Provide first-line support to employees and managers around HR policies, benefits, and systems.
Ensure compliance with local labor laws and internal policies.
Systems, Automation & Data
Manage and upgrade our use of Personio, driving better setup, automation, and reporting.
Improve workflows across Slack and Trello to streamline People Ops processes and team collaboration.
Drive automation and AI-powered efficiencies to scale People Ops and reduce manual work.
Build and maintain People dashboards that provide real-time insights to managers and leadership.
Support a more data-driven approach to People & Culture decision-making (headcount, performance, engagement, turnover, etc.).
People Programs & Enablement
Support and optimize key People programs such as the performance cycle, the new career framework, compensation processes, and manager enablement.
Partner with managers by providing operational insights, reporting, and scalable processes.
Contribute to People & Culture projects and ensure all operational components run smoothly and accurately.
Job requirements
🧠 What you’ll bring (experience)
3–5 years of experience in People Operations / HR Operations.
Strong understanding of Dutch labor law, compliance, and HR best practices.
Experience working with Personio and enthusiasm for improving its setup and usage.
Comfortable using and optimizing tools like Slack, Trello, and other workflow platforms.
Data-savvy: experienced in building reports and dashboards for insights and decision support.
Highly independent, flexible, enthusiastic, hands-on, and accurate.
Thrives in a dynamic, fast-moving environment in the heart of the city.
Loves building processes that scale and supporting continuous improvement
