This is the perfect role for you if you are an experienced (agency) recruiter with a strong interest in People and Culture. In this role, you will work alongside our team of HR experts, and will build a large HR talent pool. You will assist our current and new clients in finding their new HR talent. You have to love matchmaking, be commercially driven, but not consider yourself a typical recruiter. You are a special one… who will help us with building and growing our broad recruitment services.

Your Role

As our Recruitment Lead, you will join us at an exciting time. You get to professionalise and drive the recruitment service at 7people!

We’ve been helping our clients with HR search services in past years, and keep being asked for more. Due to increasing demand, and the fact we don’t like to say ‘no’ because we don’t have capacity… we’re now looking for someone who will take on our search service on a fulltime basis.

This role is a combination of business development and introducing the right candidates. You will proactively approach clients to offer our services. Our team helps you with this (we all love BD!), and you can approach current and new clients. You build relationships with your clients (often CEO’s, founders and HR managers) and advise them on the best HR profiles. You are their sparring partner in building the best HR teams.


Your focus roles:

  • HR Executive Search (retained) = Head of People / VP People / CHRO profiles

  • HR Experienced Search = mid to senior-level profiles such as HRBP and People Lead

  • HR Interim roles = mid to senior-level profiles on an interim basis

Our internal team of consultants is already 20+ strong, so when you bring in interim assignments, you have a big internal pool to choose from.

We also work with a large number of external consultants (zpp-ers) who will be part of your talent pool. And, we have an extensive database and network of HR professionals looking for permanent roles.

Part of this role is to extend this talent pool, and find the best HR permanent and interim people out there for our clients.

HR Community

We bring the HR community together at events and meetups, and we have a monthly podcast. We also publish a newsletter and have a large follower base. You can use all of this to build your talent pool, and it sets you up for success from day 1. Part of this role is to contribute to our HR community via our channels, presenting them with the hottest opportunities!

It's a broad commercial recruitment role, contributing to the growth of 7people.

What we need you to bring

  • ☑️ Relevant recruitment experience - at least 4+ years experience as a recruiter, with an agency or in an inhouse role.

  • Ideally, you’ve recruited for HR roles - and even better if you understand the start- and scaleup landscape).

  • 💖 You enjoy proactively reaching out to people and companies you don’t know yet! This is a role in which you do business development yourself. In a way that matches with our values (kind and transparent) and not pushy at all… but we do go after the coolest start- and scaleups.

  • 👀 You can work independently, and you know when to ask for help.

  • 📈 You love working on multiple assignments at the same time. You are an excellent planner of your time.

  • 👩🏼‍💻 You are creative, tech-savvy and love innovation. You always looking for new ways to work smarter and more efficient. When it comes to creating presentations or designing a visual process - you know your way around in tools like Canva and Notion (or you are a very fast learner!)

  • 🇳🇱 You are based locally and have gained experience in the Netherlands. Ideally you understand the startup landscape.

  • ✍🏻 Creative writing and design skills - because our job adverts should look great and read well.

What we offer in return

It’s a lot less commercial than working for a recruitment agency, as you work closely with HR professionals and not with other recruiters.It’s also very different from an inhouse TA role because you get to specialise in HR roles.   • Salary: The range is €4500 - €5500 per month base + holiday allowance. Where you 'sit' in this range depends on your experience. You can grow within 7people's career framework, we have a transparent salary model.

  • Commercial incentives: You can earn up to 10K on-target yearly bonus, even more if you exceed expectations!

  • Travel reimbursement: Actual travel costs home-office (bike, car or public transport).

  • Do something fun for yourself allowance: We give you €50 every month to spoil yourself.

  • Mobile phone allowance: €25 per month.

  • Financial planning: Unlimited access to a personal financial planner, financial education and tooling with Equip.

  • Lovely office in Amsterdam West - where we work together, get inspired and enjoy the rooftop. We also work onsite for clients, which can be based anywhere in the Netherlands.

  • Top Tools: A MacBook, Bose noise-cancelling headset, and an excellent tech set up. We work in G-Suite, have large 2nd screens in the office, wireless everything, no internal emails - just Slack.

  • Hours: A full-time (5 days per week / 40 hours) role. 

  • Hybrid role: 3-4 days per week in our office, Friday’s we try to be in the office every week.
