Job description
This is the ideal role if you get excited about helping various companies with their People & Culture needs. You will work with a diverse range of start-ups, scale-ups and global brands. Every project and client is different, what they need is similar - someone to help them to become even better when it comes to HR.
About 7people:
We are on a mission to create ‘Irresistible Organizations’. We solve People & Culture challenges, by providing flexible HR solutions.
As builders at heart, we help fast-moving companies transition to their next phase. We help start-ups and scale-ups with growing or improving their company, by proving advice and support on all aspects of their employee journey and people strategy.
We also work for global brands, supporting their HR departments with interim support, or delivering projects. Companies find us when they need high quality HR support or advice.
Your role:
As People Operations Specialist you will provide our clients with hands-on HR support. Besides the day-to-day HR ops, you also have a keen eye for process improvements.
What you will do:
You will join clients on a project or interim basis. Based on their needs you will support them in moving to the next phase when it comes to HR - enabling them to grow.
Any HR topic which might come up, you'll jump onto and help them do it the best way possible - generally making things more efficient and fun.
Topics you will support/work on:
Provide first-line support to employees and managers around HR policies, benefits, and systems.
Contribute to People & Culture projects and ensure all operational components run smoothly and accurately.
Ensure compliance with local labor laws and internal policies.
On- and Off-boarding
Employee Engagement
Employee Experience
HRIS administration
Payroll input
Sick leave / UWV
Contract changes
Documentation
Visa applications
Employee Records
HR Tooling
If you are interested in HR systems, automation and tooling, you can work on all of the below:
Implement a new HRIS system
Manage and upgrade current HRIS systems, ensuring better setup, automation, and reporting.
Improve workflows across communication channels to streamline processes.
Drive automation and AI-powered efficiencies to scale People Ops and reduce manual work.
Build and maintain people dashboards that provide real-time insights to managers and leadership.
Support a data-driven approach to People & Culture decision-making
At 7people you become part of an experienced team of consultants, who help each other with their knowledge. You’ll use our internal knowledge and resources, combined with your own experience and common sense. With a pragmatic ‘just do-it’ mindset, we make a huge difference! Often, you’ll help build the People & Culture foundation from scratch - so, it’s a hands-on opportunity for an energetic, creative individual with a strong foundation of People Ops and/or HR admin experience!
What we need you to bring:
✅ HR experience: You are currently working in an operational HR role and you love it. You want to grow into becoming an even better people operations specialist.
💖 You enjoy all aspects of HR: The role covers all elements of the employee lifecycle and you have to be interested in becoming good in every aspect - our assignments cover the A-Z of HR.
👀 You can work independently, and you know when to ask for help. You'll often work in a duo or as part of a team, so you're not left by yourself, but doing a project autonomously shouldn't scare you.
👩🏼💻 You are creative, tech-savvy and love innovation. You always looking for new ways to work smarter and more efficient. When it comes to creating presentations or designing a visual process, you know your way around in tools like Canva and Notion (or you are a very fast learner!)
🇳🇱 Knowledge of Dutch employment law is a must - that’s why we require experience working in an HR role in the Netherlands.
🗣️ Fluency in both English & Dutch - Speaking Dutch fluently is a must, as you will deal with the UWV, Belastingdienst, Arbodienst and Dutch government agencies. You need to be able to do this without support. (You don’t have to be native.)
✍🏻 Strong communication skills - We communicate the whole day. We create handbooks, manuals, templates, emails, etc - and you need to be able to do this without someone checking your work.
What we offer you in return:
A truly inspirational work environment: a place where you will learn faster than anywhere else. We strongly believe in continuous learning and help each other proactively to become better at what we do.
Salary: The range is €3100 - €4500 per month + holiday allowance. Where you 'fit' in this range depends on your experience. You can grow within 7people's career framework.
Annual Leave: 5 weeks of annual leave, and a few extra days here and there to celebrate life.
Hours: This is a full time (5 days per week / 40 hours) role. We are open to discuss 32 or 36 hours per week, noting that Friday cannot be your standard day off.
Hybrid role: We work from our own office (in Amsterdam) and those of our clients. Working from home is possible if your assignment allows this type of flexibility.
Commercial incentives: When clients extend their contract or you introduce us to new clients, you are rewarded for this with €500! We also offer annual Profit Share.
Travel reimbursement: actual travel costs home-office (car or public transport).
Do something fun for yourself allowance: €50 every month to spoil yourself.
Mobile phone allowance: €25 per month.
Accelerate your career: This is a rare opportunity to fast-track your career in People and Culture, by working for a diverse range of exciting companies - as part of our super passionate team.
Learning Fridays! On Fridays we often work together in the office. Besides working for clients, we also inspire each other, increase our own knowledge, attend workshops, brainstorm, learn, have a nice lunch, and have fun. It ensures we spend valuable time together to build our team, our culture and your knowledge 💡
Tooling: A MacBook, noise-cancelling headset, and an excellent tech set up.
🇳🇱 LOCATION NOTE: You must be based in the Netherlands, without visa requirements. Unfortunately, we can't sponsor or relocate someone for this position. You need to be happy to work 5 days per week from Amsterdam, without too much travel time.
