Are you an experienced HR professional with a strong background in Employee Relations and a knack for handling complex employee cases? We're looking for an interim Employee Relations Specialist to join a dynamic tech scale-up in Amsterdam on a full-time basis.

This is a unique opportunity to make an impact in a fast-paced, people-focused organization while supporting managers and employees through challenging situations.

What You'll Do:

  • Act as a trusted advisor to managers, providing guidance on sensitive employee relations matters such as terminations, performance management, and grievances.

  • Take ownership of complex cases, devising strategies and collaborating with legal experts when necessary.

  • Assist with supporting long-term sick leave cases in the Netherlands.

  • Work closely with leadership to ensure empathetic, balanced decision-making that aligns with business goals.

  • Provide expert advice on Dutch labor law and employee relations best practices.

  • Support HR Business Partners by focusing on case management, while they concentrate on engagement and succession planning.

Job requirements

What We're Looking For:

  • A seasoned HR Generalist or Employee Relations Specialist with experience managing complex employee cases.

  • Strong knowledge of Dutch labor law and the ability to navigate sensitive situations with empathy and professionalism.

  • Fluent Dutch speaker with excellent communication skills.

  • A proactive problem-solver who can hit the ground running and deliver results in a short-term assignment.

Details of the Role:

  • Location: Netherlands, Amsterdam (focus on Dutch employees, there are some international employees as well)

  • Start Date: ASAP (within 2–3 weeks would be ideal)

  • Duration: Interim assignment for several months until the permanent role is filled. 

  • Rate: €80–€100 per hour, depending on experience.

  • Full-Time Role: Immediate availability required.
