Head of People Tech to maintain operations, deliver the Workday payroll integration, and assess the current tech landscape. This role requires extensive Workday and digital transformation experience.

Job description

We’re looking for a hands-on leader to ensure operational continuity while advancing strategic goals in the People Technology function. This role is essential to maintaining business momentum and supporting a seamless employee experience during a transitional period.

You will be responsible for the entire HR tech stack (Workday, Greenhouse and learning platforms). You’ll partner directly with the Chief People Officer, Chief Information Officer and leaders across the People team, as well as Workplace Technology, and Operations to improve their workflows and build a seamless digital journey for all employees.

Operational & Team Leadership

  • Sustain business operations within People Technology, ensuring reliable system performance and team cohesion.

  • Lead and manage a cross-functional team (6 in-house & 6 external Workday consultants).

  • Foster collaboration and alignment among a relatively senior team.

  • Collaborative leader who builds trust and cohesion across the team.

Workday Payroll Integration

  • Drive a high-priority integration of payroll with Workday, ensuring timely and effective delivery.

  • Provide expert guidance on optimizing Workday’s use and define the best-fit support model for the platform.


Strategic Assessment & Planning

  • Conduct a comprehensive assessment of the current People Tech landscape, including:

    • Workday implementation

    • Data governance

    • Privacy standards

  • Use findings to inform the future roadmap and strategy.

Digital Transformation & Innovation

  • Bring experience in digital HR transformations, using AI and automation to enhance employee and HR team experiences.

  • Identify process improvement opportunities and implement best practices aligned with business needs.

Job requirements

Must-have experience

  • 10+ years in managing high- performing People Tech teams in a global organization of over 2000 employees.

  • Deep expertise in defining strategy for and managing a complex HRIS ecosystem with extensive hands-on expertise in Workday, especially in platform optimization and team support structures/ People function.

  • History of delivering large-scale, digital transformations in HR.

  • Experience identifying and applying emerging technologies, particularly AI and automation, to solve practical challenges within HR.

  • Strong understanding of global data privacy regulations (GDPR), security, and compliance frameworks.
