Twelve is looking for a new Head of People & Culture, who will play a key role in driving transformation and a new People and Culture Strategy.
Who are we?
Twelve is a fintech organisation, specialist in the field of smart ordering and payment solutions. You’ll find our POS technology at locations across the Netherlands and Belgium. We enable retail payments at cafes, sports clubs, events, festivals and stadiums.
Since 2007, we have grown into a buzzing organization of 100+ Twelvers, based in multiple locations across the Netherlands. We have an exciting agenda for 2025, including revamping the company vision and culture.
What are you going to do?
You’ll be responsible for shaping Twelve as a great place to work, now and in the long term.
You will work closely with the Leadership Team - and small (but mighty!) P&C team - to ensure that our Twelvers can thrive. You will bring structure and professionalism to our P&C processes, while keeping the “heart” alive and being accessible to all Twelvers.
This role will report to the CEO. At the moment, they have an interim Chief People Officer (parttime) and the role will initially report into her as you’ll work very closely towards a full transition.
Working closely with the leadership team and managers across Twelve, your challenges are to drive:
Employee Engagement & Culture: You will re-energise our inclusive culture, embed the new vision, build employee engagement, create career development frameworks, and install meaningful wellbeing initiatives.
Recruitment: You will lead all recruitment efforts, either internally/directly or with external partners, providing a great candidate experience and first class hires.
Performance Optimisation: You will create frameworks to recognise top talent, set motivating goals, and drive high performance across the organisation.
Employment Law & Compliance: You will ensure that Twelve complies with all relevant employment regulations and implement sound P&C processes/policies.
People management: You will provide support, coaching and direction to the team of 3 FTE in the P&C team.
Operational Efficiency: You will streamline P&C processes to make them as efficient as possible and continuously look for ways to improve our HR operations.
Data Analytics & Technology: You will use data to proactively identify trends and use insights improve the employee experience

A very supportive Chief P&C Officer, who will help you grow and develop into your new role. This is a setup until the end of the year, during the transition period. Eventually the role will report into the CEO.
A base salary of 70-85K + up to 2 months bonus based on company and personal performance (Overall total package up to 100K)

Job requirements
What we hope you will bring to Twelve!
An inherent belief in the power of people and culture for driving business success.
8+ years of developing and delivering on the P&C strategy, with particular emphasis on employee experience and people operations.
A current role as (sr) HRBP or HR Manager - this role is ideal for someone taking on the Head of People role for the first time.
Leadership acumen, able to manage, mentor and motivate others.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to motivate people and build relationships across all levels of the organization from field services specialists to software developers.
In-depth knowledge of Dutch employment law and compliant P&C policies.
Experience of navigating either start-up or scaling businesses - and enjoy the “grey space” that brings!
Agile thinking whereby you adapt quickly to changing circumstances and unexpected challenges, yet manage priorities regardless.
Fluency in Dutch and English (we can’t be flexible here as we need a Dutch speaker)
Experience with data analysis and using P&C data to make informed decisions.
Flexibility and adaptability to respond quickly to changes and challenges.
