  • €4,400 - €5,800 per month

Ideal role if you have a love for People and Culture, and can provide companies with innovative and high-quality HR advice. With your skills and experience, you’ll create irresistible organisations

Job description

We're always interested in meeting people who can build & offer innovative People & Culture solutions, and have a special love for start-ups and scale-ups. If that sounds like you, keep reading.

About 7people:

We are on a mission to create ‘Irresistible Organizations’. We solve People & Culture challenges, by providing HR solutions for our clients.

As builders at heart, we help fast-moving companies transition to their next phase. We help start-ups and scale-ups with growing or improving their company, by providing advice and support on all aspects of their employee journey and people strategy.

We also work for global brands, supporting their HR departments with interim support, or delivering projects. Companies find us when they need high quality HR support or advice.

Your role:

As a People and Culture Consultant, you will provide our clients with practical and impactful advice on their People & Culture processes - driving engagement and company performance. For some clients, you build their HR foundation and processes; for others, you provide strategic advice or interim HRBP / HR Project support.

What you will do:

  • You will join clients on a project or interim basis. Based on their needs you will support them in moving to the next phase when it comes to HR - enabling them to grow.

  • Any HR topic which might come up, you'll jump onto and help them do it the best way possible - generally making things more efficient and fun.

  • You will lead projects on topics such as:

    • Culture and Values

    • Learning & Development

    • Recruitment

    • On- and Off-boarding

    • Employee Engagement

    • Employee Experience

    • HR Tooling / Operations

    • Compensation and benefits

    • Career levels

    • Salary frameworks

    • Performance and Growth

We call the role a ‘People and Culture Consultant’. At clients, you can be called: HR Project Manager, People Lead, HR Advisor, HRBP, People & Culture Specialist, etc. We don’t care too much for job titles 😉, it’s all about the impact we make and the content of the work.

At 7people, you become part of an experienced team of consultants who help each other grow and learn. You’ll use our internal knowledge and resources, combined with your own experience and common sense. With a pragmatic ‘just do-it’ mindset, we make a huge difference!

What we offer you in return:

A truly inspirational work environment
: a place where you will learn faster than anywhere else. We strongly believe in continuous learning and help each other proactively to become better at what we do.

  • Salary: The range is €4400 - €5800 per month + holiday allowance. Where you 'fit' in this range depends on your years of experience. You can grow within 7people's career framework.

  • Annual Leave: 5 weeks of annual leave, and a few extra days here and there to celebrate life.

  • Hours: Our preference is a full-time (5 days per week / 40 hours) role. We are open however to discussing 32 or 36 hours per week, noting that Friday cannot be your standard day off.

  • Hybrid role: We work from our own office (in Amsterdam) and those of our clients. Working from home is possible at times, if your assignment allows this flexibility.

  • Commercial incentives: We reward excellent work and a commercial mindset. When happy clients extend their contract, or you introduce us to new clients, you get rewarded with €500!

  • Profit Share. We offer profit share each year. The amount is the same for everyone in the team and is paid out if we hit our company target.

  • Travel reimbursement: actual travel costs for home office (car or public transport).

  • Do something fun for yourself allowance: €50 every month to spoil yourself.

  • Mobile phone allowance: €25 per month.

  • Accelerate your career: This is a rare opportunity to fast-track your career in People and Culture, by working for a diverse range of exciting companies - as part of our super passionate team. You'll have the opportunity to grow into a Head of People role or into a specialist role. Everything is possible.

  • Learning Fridays! On Fridays we often work together in the office. Besides working for clients, we also inspire each other, increase our own knowledge, attend workshops, brainstorm, learn, have a nice lunch, and have fun. It ensures we spend valuable time together to build our team, our culture and your knowledge 💡

  • Tooling: A MacBook, noise-cancelling headset, and an excellent tech set up.

Job requirements

What we need you to bring:

✅ HR experience: 4-10 years of experience, recently working in a broad HR role. You have experience working directly with senior stakeholders outside your department (managers / ceo/founder) - and can provide advice on most HR topics.

🦄 Start-up / Scale-up exposure: You understand the phase they are in and the speed with which they work. It helps if you understand the Dutch tech eco-system, or have worked in a growing company before.

👩🏼‍💻 You are creative, tech-savvy and love innovation. You are always looking for new ways to work smarter and more efficiently. When it comes to creating presentations - you already know your way around in tools like Canva and Notion (or you are a very fast learner!)

🇳🇱 Knowledge of Dutch employment law is a must - that’s why we require experience working in an HR role in the Netherlands.

🗣️ Strong communicator in English & Dutch - Besides being fluent in English, speaking Dutch is a must, as you will deal with the UWV, Belastingdienst, Arbodienst and Dutch government agencies. You need to be able to do this without support. (You don’t have to be native, but you have to be able to have a conversation in Dutch.)
✍🏻
Writing & presentation skills - We write and present quite a lot (handbooks, frameworks, websites, job ads) for our clients. You need to enjoy this, and not rely on AI for it.

🇳🇱 LOCATION NOTE: You must be based in the Netherlands, without visa requirements. Unfortunately, we can't sponsor or relocate someone for this position. You need to be happy to work 5 days a week from Amsterdam.
